Welcome to Rabka!
It is a picturesque town in the western part in the Beskidy Mountains.
Rabka is located at the estuary of the rivers Poniczanka and Słonka to the river Raba. The valley is surrounded by the Gorce Mountains from one side and from the North by the chain of Lubon Wielki in the Beskid Wyspowy Mountains.
The first records about the beneficial qualities of the waters of Rabka appeared in 18th century but the town received its statute of a resort only at the end of 19th century. The town is generally associated with health tourism but Rabka also offers a wide range of tourist trails, visited by a large number of Polish and foreign tourists. The most interesting tracks lead through the tops of Macieiowa, Grzebien, Lubon Wielki and Turbacz (1311 m over the sea level) which offers one of the most beautiful views in the whole western part of the Beskidy Mountains.
During the winter the white slopes of mountains in Rabka offer 30 km of ski tracks and the spectacular long-distance dog-drawn cart races attract hundred of viewers every year.
